Established in 1919 Metropolitan Leather Company are one of the oldest suppliers of quality leather in the U.K. They are one of only a few still finishing leather by hand, using traditional methods passed down from generations of skilled craftsmen.
Old English Bridle Butt – Vegetable tanned traditionally finished English Bridle Leather. Hand worked and tallow waxed to provide a strong smooth durable finish. This leather comes with a slight sheen which fades over time. The best quality leather available. Available in a choice of colours. We have in stock Black, Dark Tan and Australian Nut (dark brown).
Lyveden – A vegetable tanned full grain shoulder treated with waxes and oils to produce a beautiful distressed effect which lightens in colour when folded and turned. The natural grain is left intact to show all the unique character to give a distinctive antique appearance. A rugged leather with a “worn in” look.
Lamport – A vegetable tanned full grain shoulder. Through dyed and coloured both sides with a slightly waxy feel.
